Biography of Patricia Anne Stratigeas

Patricia Anne Stratigeas, better known by her ring name Trish Stratus, is a former professional wrestler from Canada who is now an actor, fitness expert, and former fitness model. She paved the way for women in sports in general and is regarded as the best female sports entertainer of all time. At the beginning of her career, Stratigeas was a fitness model who frequently graced magazine covers. She immediately accepted when the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), came calling because she has been a wrestling fan since she was a young girl. She made her acting debut in 2000 at the height of the Attitude Era after signing a multi-year contract with the promotion.

She showed throughout her career that she was as adept in the ring as on the mic, portraying both heels and faces with the same charm and skill. She won the WWF/E Women's Championship seven times, the Woman of the Year award from Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine four times, and the Woman of the Decade title once. She has occasionally appeared at WWE events since her retirement in 2006, and she runs a yoga studio in the Toronto suburbs. Stratus was admitted to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Early life

Patricia Anne Stratigeas was raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario with her two sisters, Christie and Melissa, after being born on December 18, 1975, in Fleming don Park, Ontario, Canada. Her mother was a teacher with a Polish background, and her father was a real estate agent. On March 16, 2015, Stratus lost her father.
She attended Bay view Secondary School for her education before going on to York University to earn a degree in kinesiology and biology. She also took part in the university's many sports leagues, including field hockey and soccer. She had intended to enroll in a medical programed, but a strike by instructors abruptly ended her studies.

At the local gym where she was hired as a receptionist, she met the publisher of MuscleMag International, who asked her to take part in a test shoot for the magazine. As a result, she ultimately agreed to a two-year contract and was featured on the cover of the May 1998 issue.

Stratigeas would have a prosperous modeling career for the next few years.
She watched professional wrestling as a child and admired wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. She obtained a position co-hosting Live Audio Wrestling on Toronto Sports Radio, The FAN 590, with Big Daddy Donnie and Jeff Marek while she was employed as a fitness model.

Personal life

Trish Stratus wed Ron Fisico, a professional bodybuilder and gym instructor, on September 30, 2006, in a private ceremony in Toronto, Canada.

Stratus was viewed as a sex symbol, but her skill in the ring and assurance on the mic helped her become a significant figure in the business while she was working. She reinvented the place of women in wrestling, along with Lita and Chyna (Joan Marie Laurer). Apart from that she only had eyes for one man Ron Fisico, who she married in 2006 after 14 years of being in a relationship together. She gave birth to their daughter Madison-Patricia Fisico on January 14, 2017 and their son Maximus Stratus Fisico on September 30, 2013, respectively.

She is frequently hailed as the best female champion in the history of the WWE and has been credited as an influence on a number of female wrestlers, including Bayley, Kelly Kelly, Natalya, Rosa Mendes, and Alexa Bliss.

Where is Trish these days?

She works as a social worker full-time as well. She has collaborated with several charities, including the Special Olympics, Dreams Take Flight, and Ronald McDonald House. In 2001, she accepted a position as a spokesman for the World Natural Sports Association.

She was also recognized as the WWE Diva of the 2000s era.

Stratus was admitted by Stephanie McMahon to the WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 2013). Stratus then honored Lita by inducting her into the Hall of Fame (Class of 2014).

Diet and nutrition

I'm going to start off by letting you know that we'll be using information from Trish's own website in addition to our conversations with her.

This will give us the best of both worlds and enable us to compare her own items, which she will undoubtedly want to promote, to others she has previously used and discussed in interviews.

When asked by BestHealthMag what her favorite diet was, she was succinct and said:

“A diet high in whole foods and low in processed foods”

But she also shares:

“Kale chips and nuts are a go-to nutritious snack.”
“Favorite gastronomic extravagance: fish and chips.”

Stratus additionally participates in two-day gut cleanses. She then directs you to:

  • Consume healthy meals. (Protein plus carbs) three to four times each day.
  • Observe your portions.
  • Select organic, whole foods (try to eliminate refined, processed, and packaged foods).
  • Take in a lot of water.

Stratus chooses a relatively sustainable diet, according to what we can infer from the original set of restrictions and what she shares about the procedure AFTER the cleanse.

She doesn't take extreme measures.

Training and workout

Stratus' exercise is the next item on the agenda!

Once more, I'd want to start by providing some details so we can better understand the material we're dealing with here.

Although she didn't always use it, Stratus has her own workout regimen called Stratusphere Yoga.

Even while Stratus is undoubtedly a large yogi, we'll be drawing from a few different sources. She says the following about her in an interview:

“Driven, passionate, eccentric, daring, upbeat, nerdy, sporty, yogi, and upcoming mother”

This was undoubtedly before her amazing weight loss after giving birth!

When asked what her favorite workout is, she responds, "Yoga," and provides some background information:

“Working out with Stratusphere Yoga It is a yoga flow that incorporates strength training. The best of both worlds is obtained.”

But Trish has also employed a variety of different training methods, including those that helped her get back into fighting shape!

The following is what Nichelle Laus tells us about her postpartum workout regimen (which appears to be quite similar to what Stratus would do when working out for WWE):

“I gave Trish a body-building split to begin with, where each day was dedicated to a particular body component. Trish would visit our gym, OTC Toronto, once a week and I would lead her through a day of her split while also incorporating plyometric exercises (higher intensity and more explosive).”

Controversy

The scene in which Vince McMahon made Trish strip naked and bark like a dog in a WWE ring is one of the most contentious and frequently discussed ones featuring Trish.

Vince definitely knows what public wanted to see i.e. Trish without Clothes.Trish Stratus and Vince McMahon had a love relationship prior to WrestleMania X-Seven as part of a plot involving the entire McMahon clan.

In an interview with The Bump, Trish Stratus discussed the contentious section, divulging the specifics and offering her perspective on the entire incident:

“Vince and I travelled a long road filled with dubious moments before that, as everyone is aware, Stratus stated. As a character, I understood that this was the turning point and that everything had led up to it.”

“Everything we achieved was worthwhile, even that incident. For the characters and how they developed, it was wholly worthwhile. And the fact that we made it to that stage meant even more to us. As a character, it was an amazing moment for me.”

Trish Stratus would turn face for the first time in her career following the incident, after slapping Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania. At summer slam in 2019, Trish Stratus made her comeback to the WWE by taking on Charlotte Flair.

Injuries

At WrestleMania 22 in 2006, Trish Stratus and Mickie James engaged in combat. Trish easily defeated her opponent by beginning with kicks and punches. However, she dislocated her shoulder after falling to the ringside area while performing a stunt.

Despite being in excruciating pain, Stratus persisted in fighting and accepted James' assault. WWE eventually decided to call the match off. She needed time off to recover from the fracture because her injury was so severe.

For her final bout before retiring, she faced Lita at Unforgiving and prevailed.
AJ Lee and the Bella Twins took on the Funk dactyls and the reigning Divas champion, Kaitlyn, on Monday Night Raw. Kaitlyn pulled Brie Bella toward the ropes where Nikki Bella was standing in the center of the contest. Her sister was knocked off the ring apron and onto the arena floor by Brie's shoulder.

She sustained a shin injury that required weeks of recovery. Nikki returned to the ring with a fresh appearance and a more force-based style of combat. She played a crucial role in the conflict between Brie McMahon and Stephanie McMahon.

In 2002, Lita was one of the most well-known wrestlers. She became a fan favorite due to her ability to fly off the rope and perform life-threatening tricks. She did a hurricanrana when Jessica Alba was on set filming an episode of Fox's Dark Angel at the time. She unfortunately fell on her head, breaking her neck. She went for neck surgery while she was off work.

In September 2003, she finally made a comeback and paired up with Trish Stratus for Unforgiving 2003. They competed in a tough tag team match, winning against Gail Kim and Molly Holly.
