Biography of Andrew McLean Galloway IV

Andrew McLean "Drew" Galloway IV has risen to prominence in the WWE since his debut in 2003. He's defeated opponents with his hallmark strike, the "Claymore Kick," won several titles, and become a fan favorite.

“This is an escape for everybody; I’m the guy that can make people happy during the Pandemic

Early life

On June 6, 1985, in Ayr, Scotland, Drew Galloway was born as Andrew McLean Galloway IV to parents Angela Anne Galloway and Andrew Galloway Sr. Gemini is his horoscope sign. He is Scottish and of undetermined ethnicity, according to his nationality.

The indie wrestling organizations Drew Galloway worked for included Insane Championship Wrestling, Evolve Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and WhatCulture Pro Wrestling (WCPW).

He loved wrestling and had since he was a little boy. He once viewed wrestling matches on television. He began his professional wrestling training at the age of 15. When his family relocated to Portsmouth, he received his wrestling instruction at the FWA Academy.

From a boy who left university as a student straight to WWE - those experiences, those ups and downs in life and work shaped the wrestler and man I am today.

Education

He went to Prestwick Academy. He then attended Glasgow Caledonian University, where he earned a master's degree in criminology.

Training and Workout

McIntyre and numerous other WWE stars, including John Cena and Nikki Bella, utilize an app developed by Rob McIntyre (no relation to Drew).

McIntyre claims that he can lift more weight in the gym when he listens to Brock Lesnar's theme music.

McIntyre prefers to stick to a straightforward approach, unlike many professional wrestlers. When doing shows, he doesn't spar frequently, and he doesn't participate in fads like Cross Fit since he believes that wrestling is physically demanding enough.

In addition to his 4–7 wrestling matches per week, McIntyre often trains four days per week.

McIntyre likes his workout app because it keeps things interesting because he never knows what will happen next. McIntyre does numerous drills on vulnerable muscles, like the rotator cuff. McIntyre performs static and dynamic stretches because he wants to have a long career and avoid injuries.

When fighting someone like Brock Lesnar, who is a pure freak of nature, I have to be effective. He is large, quick, and powerful.

"I want to be a bigger, more athletic guy," you may say, "but yet maintain my speed."

I usually listen to it while working out in the gym on my hardest sets, and all of a sudden I'm able to squat more than I ever have. I've been doing it for years.

Supplements

McIntyre isn't disclosing the supplements he uses, but the options listed below are suitable for anyone who consumes a similar diet.

  • Protein
  • Creatine
  • Weight gainer
  • B vitamins
  • Pre workout
  • Omega 3S
  • Vitamin C

Diet

McIntyre has a large build. He needs to consume a lot of food to maintain his musculature because of his rapid metabolism. He uses a meal prep service to save time and mental energy because he is also quite busy. There is no guesswork because his macros are counted for him. He'll eat three to four prepared meals every day. They can be anything, even wholesome variations of pizza and burritos, and they all tend to be high in protein and low to moderate in carbohydrates. He also prepares some meals on his own, such as an omelet with eight eggs for breakfast. He drinks a lot of water to stay hydrated.

McIntyre was determined to recover fully after fracturing his neck in 2014. His wife's advice to concentrate on dieting was a game-changer for him.

"Within a month of adjusting my diet, I could feel the improvement in my body."

Despite the ups and downs of his professional life, McIntyre has never been one to play about with his diet. He avoids taking breaks and having to work hard to get back into shape by eating healthfully all year long. He enjoys always feeling and looking good.

“The importance of eating well cannot be overstated, especially when travelling”.

McIntyre uses a meal prep service to help him eat better, stick to his macros, and save money. His prepared meals are far superior to fast food and contain about 50g of protein and 20–30g of carbohydrates.

"My guiding principle is to look good all year long, rather than look decent all year long and then look particularly terrific for WrestleMania."

Injuries

Drew McIntyre qualified for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship after defeating Sheamus on the Friday Night Smack Down broadcast on July 29.

Shortly later, it was revealed that Drew would challenge Roman Reigns for the championship at Clash at the Castle, WWE's first UK Premium Live Event since 1992.

The game is scheduled to start in just over two weeks, but sources suggest that Drew is injured.

According to Fightful Select, McIntyre is now battling with a back ailment and was removed from live events over the weekend to heal (via Wrestle Talk).

“Fightful Select can confirm that Drew McIntyre has been taken off the road for this weekend's performances. McIntyre has been suffering from a painful back issue and has required more downtime to recover”.

Fans of the former WWE Champion will be pleased to learn that Drew is not anticipated to need surgery for the problem, according to Fightful.

However, Drew is advised to "just rest it up," which is somewhat challenging given that he wrestles many times each week.

“He only needs to rest it up, which are tougher, said than done given the nature of being a professional wrestler, and surgery isn't anticipated”.

The article states that McIntyre is still anticipated to battle Roman at Clash at the Castle, a match that has been internally planned and prepared for several months. This is unquestionably wonderful news.

Throughout the pandemic, Drew fought hard for WWE to stage a significant pay-per-view in the UK, so it's fantastic news that his injury won't prevent him from competing in the main event of the show.

However, others have conjectured that Drew would need to take a break from television after Clash at the Castle next month based on claims that he has to "relax."

Keep checking GiveMeSport in the upcoming weeks leading up to the Clash at the Castle for additional information on McIntyre's injury situation as it develops.

Controversies

At Extreme Rules 2022, Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross was the match that immediately followed Ronda Rousey vs. Liv Morgan.

Unfortunately for McIntyre and Kross, they were unable to maintain their momentum, and the bout's conclusion was both contentious (but legal) and unimpressive.

Since Kross' entrance back into the WWE this past summer, McIntyre and Kross have been engaged in a feud. Following McIntyre's defeat by Roman Reigns, he turned his attention on the former NXT Champion before the Clash at the Castle 2022.

Karrion Kross' victory over Drew McIntyre with the aid of his wife and manager Scarlett Bordeaux shouldn't come as a surprise.

Since there was no disqualification in the strap match, Scarlett would use pepper spray, which wasn't strictly against the law but was, in some ways, still debatable.

In any case, Kross triumphs, and Drew McIntyre suffers his second consecutive defeat in a Premium Live Special. It will be interesting to watch whether the competition lasts into Crown Jewel 2022 or whether the two guys split off for other conflicts.

Personal life

He proposed engagement to his girlfriend Taryn Terrell in July 2009. Taryn Terrell, a professional wrestler, ring announcer, actress, and stuntwoman, accepted her marriage proposal. In 2010, they married in Las Vegas. Their relationship, however, did not last. They split up in 2011.

Drew Galloway began dating Kaitlyn after his divorce from Taryn Terrell. Their relationship eventually became a marriage on December 9, 2016. They are currently living happily as a husband and wife.

Drew Galloway was born to Andrew Galloway and Angela Anne Galloway. Unfortunately, his mother died on November 3, 2012, at the age of 15. He is well-known due to his brand endorsements.

Championship

“For me, the big target is to get into the Hall of Fame, but I'd like to win the heavyweight title first.”

Galloway won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career on the March 15th edition of Impact Wrestling by cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase and defeating Matt Hardy. He did this to become the first Scottish-born TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He would also be the first person to successfully exchange the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for a Feast or Fired briefcase. Galloway hyped forthcoming independent defenses across Europe and the US and declared him to be "the first travelling World Champion since Ric Flair."

On the March 29th episode of Impact Wrestling, he successfully defended the title against Jeff Hardy in his first defence. Galloway won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Matt Hardy in a rematch on the April 5 Impact Wrestling programed. Galloway overcame rib injuries sustained as a result of Lashley repeatedly spearing him at Sacrifice to defeat Tyrus and hold onto the title.

Due to Ethan Carter III's interference, Galloway was unable to win back his belt from Lashley on two separate occasions. At Destination X on July 12, in an unofficial battle that resulted in a no contest, Galloway and Carter exchanged blows. In order to compete for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Bound for Glory, Galloway was one of the eight men who entered the Bound for Glory Playoff competition. Galloway defeated Bram in the first round of the tournament on the Impact Wrestling broadcast from July 22. However, Mike Bennett eliminated Galloway from the semi-finals after Moose interfered and he collided with EC3 a third time unintentionally.
