What is Deca Durabolin?

Deca-Durabolin is a clear yellow oily solution for injection containing 50 mg/ml of the active ingredient nandrolone decanoate. It belongs to a group of medicines known as anabolic steroids. It's formula is C₂₈H₄₄O₃ and has a molecular mass of 428.657 g/mol⁻¹.

Let's talk about deca-durabolin, it is an inner muscular anabolic and androgenic steroid. Deca is an actual medicine in America and it is actually prescribed unlike a lot of the other anabolic steroids that have been removed from the market or were never marketed.

Alot like testosterone it is strongly anabolic yet it has less androgenicity. That is due to its reduction to a weaker androgen called Dihydronandrolone. The bro science loves this stuff, right? Deca is a mild anabolic steroid and it also has a lower potential for estrogen conversion. This phenomena is very interesting when you look at the clinical effects of deca-durabolin used with testosterone and what it does to testosterone in relation to aromatization and the clinical effects on the body.

How to use Deca with Testosterone?

The dose is normally to be kept in between 100 to 300 milligrams (mg) a week when it is combined with Testosterone. The ratio between the Testosterone and Deca dosage is usually kept at 1:1, 2:1, 3:2 the former being the Testoterone.

250mg Testosterone plus 100mg Deca

Side Effects

If you have been on testosterone and deca for many years, the number one problem is going to be the Edema, it is actually called Anasarca. Anasarca is a medical term in which the whole body has a subcutaneous edema or it is filled up with fluids. You see in men that are on steroids that their head, face gets bigger and their whole bodies give off a big puffy look, that is considered by the Doctors to be edema but technically that's not really edema (but it is). That is bloating, edema is full body edema known as Anasaca which is an extreme term.
Severe diseases of liver, kidney and heart can be developed over prolonged usage. This is due to the side effects of deca and test, being strong progestogenic, though it is not really estrogenic but it actually can potentiate the estrogenic effects of testosterone. This is the reality. So if you're on test and deca you have to watch out for the fluid changes specially the fluid gain in the body.

Deca-durabolin if used without Testosterone and sometimes with Testosterone induces hypertension in men. The actual clinical reasons are not yet known, it is believed that due to the conversion and increased level of estrogenic activity deca induces hypertension similar to men being of Clomid during PCT. In case of hypertension one must keep a good eye on his blood pressure.
If you're hypertensive even because you're just getting old and not on steroids (man or woman), you're still going to have enlargement of the heart which is known as LVH Left Ventricular Hypertrophy. Get regular echocardiograms under supervision of your doctor to make sure that you can do something about it as earliest as possible.

Overall Deca has low side effect potential, though we always hear about deca dick. Deca dick is usually caused when it is used without Testosterone, as deca converts to a less androgenic substance. To avoid deca dick, deca durabolin may be combined with Testosterone.
